What Is an Online Photo Album

An online photo album is a series of collages, each one acting as a "page" with several photos. You create pages one at a time, download them, and assemble a finished album.

Our editor lets you:

  • Place 1 to 9 photos on each "page"
  • Choose format: A4 (print), square (digital album), vertical (Stories)
  • Add themed frames to each page
  • Download as PDF for a print shop or JPG for a digital album

How to Create a Photo Album Online — Step by Step

Step 1 — Choose Page Format

Open the editor. On the "Canvas" tab, pick the format that fits your album:

  • A4 Portrait — classic printed album
  • A4 Landscape — wide album for landscape shots
  • Square 1:1 — digital album for social media

Step 2 — Compose the First Page

On the "Layout" tab, choose a grid — how many photos per page:

  • 1×1 — one large photo, like a cover
  • 2×2 — four photos, classic album page
  • 2×3 — six photos for a rich spread
  • 3×3 — nine photos for a reportage page

Upload photos: tap a cell or drag images into the browser. The editor distributes photos across cells automatically.

Step 3 — Crop Each Photo

Double-click a photo in a cell to enter crop mode. Move and scale until the right part is in frame. Click "Done" or tap outside the cell.

Step 4 — Add Styling

Open the "Frames" tab and choose a page style:

  • Neutral frames from "Decor" — for a clean album
  • Themed frames — "Wedding", "Holiday", "Love"
  • "No Frame" — minimalist look

Step 5 — Download the Page

Click "Export". For a printed album choose:

  • PDF — for a print shop or home printing
  • PNG / Print — maximum resolution (~4800 px on the long side)

Repeat steps 2–5 for each album page.

Photo Album for Printing (A4 and PDF)

For a printed album use A4 and export to PDF — the standard for print shops.

Tips:

  • Choose Print quality in the export dialog — ~4800 px on the long side, enough for 300 DPI
  • The editor shows final resolution and approximate file size before download
  • One PDF = one album page. Merge several PDFs in a standard PDF editor (Adobe Acrobat, Preview on Mac)

Birthday Photo Album

Birthdays, anniversaries, graduations — great reasons for a photo album.

Anniversary idea: album "N years in photos." Each page = one year or life period. 2×2 or 1×1 grid, frame from "Holiday".

Kids' album: one page per year — from birth to now. Use "Decor" frames for a consistent style.

Wedding Photo Album

A wedding album is one of the most popular uses. We recommend:

  • A4 Landscape — wide shots look great
  • 2×1 or 2×2 grid — don't overcrowd the page
  • Frames from "Wedding" — soft and elegant
  • Cover — one large photo in 1×1 with a beautiful frame

Digital Photo Album Online

For digital albums (social posts, messengers):

  • Square 1:1 works on all platforms
  • Export as JPG for quick sharing
  • Share via share link from the editor — no download needed

Tips for a Beautiful Photo Album

Keep one style. One frame or look for all pages — the album feels cohesive.

Follow chronology. Photos in order — from start to end — read much better.

Don't overcrowd pages. For meaningful shots, 1×1 or 2×2 beats 3×3.

Pick a strong cover photo. The first page sets the tone.
